At Karawatha Cottages we believe one of the best ways to explore the beautiful McLaren Vale region is to embark on foot or hop onto your bike. It not only takes the question 'who is driving today' out of the equation but more importantly, exploring the region on a more leisurely pace and off the main roads also brings you closer to nature and the vineyards. We have mapped out a range of different walking and cycle trails, all starting at your cottage - with mud maps available in your cottage to guide you along back-roads connecting with official walking and cycle trails. Most of our trails incorporate food & wine in some form - but there also some that just focus on the beautiful nature and scenery around us: from rolling vineyards to the local flora and fauna of the Onkaparinga National Park.
