The Cottages are located a short 5km drive from the McLaren Vale township, yet it feels you are a world away: situated on a hill side and surrounded by vineyards, each cottage features a private deck to make the best of the views onto vineyards and the backdrop of the Mount Lofty Ranges.

A guest favourite is the Karawatha Cottages Wine Walking Trail – an easy 5.5 km walk leading past five cellar doors and two restaurants (Vale Restaurant & Bar and the award-winning Currant Shed); or just take a short 500m stroll to their immediate neighbours and call into the cellar doors of Geddes, Beresford and Woodstock for some wine and beer tasting.

All cottages have an open-plan layout with kitchen, living and dining area, but separate bedrooms and feature flat-screen TVs, A/C as well as a wood/gas log heater. The communal patio offers free BBQ facilities as well as an open fire place.
